Why a heat pump rather than an element
An element converts electricity straight into heat, and your bill carries every unit of it. A heat pump moves existing heat out of the surrounding air into the pool water instead, typically returning three to four units of heat for every unit of electricity. In Gauteng's climate that gap is the difference between a pool you heat occasionally and one you heat all year.
Schools, academies and teaching pools
Lessons start early and carry on through winter. We specify systems that bring a teaching pool up to temperature overnight, hold it through a full day of classes, and can be locked to a schedule so no one has to remember to switch anything on. Where a site runs several pools, each is treated as its own load.
Installation and aftercare
Plant is sited so running noise stays away from bedrooms and neighbours, with pipe runs, isolation and electrical connections done to spec. We commission the system, hand over the settings in plain language, and stay on for servicing — including planned maintenance contracts that keep the equipment efficient rather than just working.
Heating a pool is a heat loss problem before it is an equipment problem: surface area, night-time air temperature, wind and whether a cover is used all decide the size of the unit. We work that out first.
